Project Summary
The site sits on the corner of King’s Road and Watlington
Street, occupying a prominent site beside the River
Kennet and the Watlington Street Bridge. This is an
important development in the Reading area.
The building is 18 storeys above a single basement level
and is composed of 103 apartments. The structure
consists of a secant piled wall in the basement, piled
structure and reinforced concrete thereafter. The
construction period for this landmark development will
be 100 weeks.
The building will have an articulated façade with
recesses forming shadows, behind a prominent framed
element. The façade uses three primary materials; fine
texture concrete profiled panels, aluminium cladding
and glazing and curtain walling, using colours which are
in keeping with the neighbouring buildings.
This is a high rise, high quality development in a
prominent location.
